I am originally from Alliance, Ohio. I graduated Malone University in 2005 with my B.A. in Integrated Social Studies. I began my teaching career in 8th grade social studies during the 2005 school year at Burns Middle School in Lawndale, North Carolina. In 2006, I started teaching at Forest Hills High School in Marshville, NC. There I taught mostly American History, but had the opportunity to teach World History and Civics and Economics. In 2011, I achieved my National Board Certification. Starting my 12th year teaching, I moved to Rock Hill to teach here at Northwestern. I recently graduated from Winthrop University with a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in Instructional Technology. I am looking forward to another amazing year in the classroom.
